Everyday there’s a new breakthrough in the way we communicate with each other. Smart PDA and absurdly low budget netbooks PC are the latest affordable, continent to continent, electronic telegram, along with the new launch of all flavors and varieties of smart pads such as the Ipad. Its success or failure is yet to be seen, but one thing is for sure, your content has to be ready and available for everyone. As of right know, no smart phone and smart pad device, is capable of running those nifty and pretty Flash animations that we used, and still, love so much. It’s all about accessibility right now, instant and at your fingerprints. No matter you’re at home, commuting on the train or bus. Aim high, so everyone can see what you’re talking about, no matter what language or culture they’re from.

The technology market, and specially the information market, keeps on turning and re-inventing themselves. We’re a couple days short from the launch of the new Motorola cellphone, aka Droid. You can have a peek at its design and you might instantly realize whose market share Motorola is trying to put its hands on. Motorola is doing a very big gamble by utilizing Google’s open source OS Android, since by all accounts the Motorola Razor was the last big thing for the Moto people. Google’s has adopted an more than interesting approach to this fragmented market. Instead of branding and endorsing a product for its characteristics and features, it’s just focusing in what they do best, and that is of course Software and Data mining. Apple has a long history for being a closed, efficient and sometime outstanding UI designer. It has a track record to prove so, even though not everyone is looking for the shiniest and prettiest devices sculpted out of some Unicorn’s horns. That’s why this are very interesting times for a industry and market that re-invents itself every so many months pushing the boundaries of technology and market strategy.
We can still remember how wrong Mr Gates predicted that cloud computing was just a big mistake, where computers and mobile devices would become more and more powerful to crunch data and graphics. He soon after had to retract himself and launch a new Microsoft cloud computing strategy for the next couple of years.
Regardless of who is wrong and who is right, this sure are interesting times to experiment and develop new ideas.
